CMT Prep Course

What is it?
The CMT, or Certified Medical Transcriptionist, is the certificate offered for medical transcriptionists by the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI). It was developed to test the skills of medical transcriptionists with at least two years of acute care or multispecialty clinic experience. This course will prepare students to sit for the CMT certification exam.

If you are studying to take the CMT certification exam and want to brush up on your knowledge or have a refresher in what you have learned in the past, this course is for you!

What does the CMT course cover?
Registration gives you access to weekly webinars, online testing, and transcription practice materials for a period of 14 weeks. Topics reviewed over the 14-week course include medicolegal issues, grammar & punctuation, gastroenterology, urology, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, otorhinolaryngology, orthopaedics, endocrinology, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, dermatology, and oncology/hematology.

What is the cost of the CMT course?
The price of the CMT Course with the two books recommended by TRSi (Medical Transcription Fundamentals by Diane Gilmore and The AAMT Book of Style for Medical Transcription) is $250. 

The cost of the course without the recommend books is $150.00.

RMT Prep Course

What is it?

It was developed to test the skills of medical transcriptionists with less than two years of acute care or multispecialty clinic experience. This course will prepare students to sit for the RMT exam.

If you are studying to take the RMT exam or want to brush up on your general knowledge, this course is for you!
