Express Scribe is a product of NCH Software. More information about that application including technical support can be found on their web site at http://www.nch.com.au/scribe/ . Some tutorials are available to assist with installation, basic operation, and advanced settings by clicking here. Below is a resolution to a common issue.

Windows XP and Windows 2000 (Vista see bottom of page)

Voice file opening with Windows Media Player, I-Tunes or other 'player'

        1. Click Start
        2. Open My Computer
        3. Click the Tools menu at the top of the screen and then click on Folder Options
        4. Click on the File Types tab
        5. Scroll down to MP3 and click the Change button
        6. Click Browse
        7. Double click on the NCH Swift Sound folder
        8. Double click on the Scribe folder and then click Scribe or Scribe.exe and click the open button
        9. Express Scribe should be highlighted so click OK
        10. Scroll down to WAV and then click the Change button
        11. Choose Express Scribe from the list and hit OK
        12. Click OK again and close the My Computer window
        13. Make sure your pedal is plugged in
        14. Open Express Scribe by clicking Start – All Programs – Express Scribe and then click Express Scribe
        15. Click Options and then Pedal and Hot Keys
        16. Choose VEC Infinity USB pedals and Handhelds from the dropdown list labeled Port: under “Foot Pedal Control”
        17. Click Foot Pedal Control Setup Wizard and follow the instructions it gives you
