Program Prepares MTs for Successful Career in Cardiology

Cardiology is one of the most demanding and sought-after specialties for MTs. This 6-week program entails a unique on-line learning experience via web-based lectures with a live instructor, a textbook of transcription exercises on CDROM, practical interactive exercises, computer-graded transcription activities and a final exam, along with some fun crossword puzzles and a real case study!  Educational topics include cardiac terminology, Book of Style rules for transcribing cardiac terminology, anatomy and physiology of the heart, cardiovascular symptoms and assessments, conditions and treatments, pharmacology, diagnostic studies, and procedures. This course is preapproved by AHDI for 10 CM CECs.
